Jolene helped me with a rental unit remodel several years ago and she did an amazing job designing and managing the project. So two years ago, we bought a fixer upper and of course we asked her for help again to do the whole house remodeling. Jolene is simply amazing and talented. We can't be happier with the outcome even though it is not completely finished yet. She did a great job picking wall colors, cabinets, floors, tiles and light fixtures that give the house a bright, airy and timeless look. Working with jolene has been a super pleasant experience. She treats our house like hers and takes every little details very seriously and is very considerate of our budget as well. She is always there to answer questions and provide solutions. We hired JL Interior Design to help us design a plan to remodel our very dated kitchen, to design (and choose the location for) a new powder room, to choose tile to update our fireplace and to help us furnish our master bedroom, entry way, living room and dining room in a way that would maximize each space. I cannot speak highly enough about Jolene and her team, Courtney.

From day 1, Jolene and Courtney demonstrated the highest level of professionalism. They were thoughtful, both with the ideas they brought to me and with the time spent and ultimately billed. They listened to my ideas, reviewed my Pinterest boards and took careful note about what we already had in our home to make sure their design ideas complimented my style, not theirs or the style of past clients. They were incredibly flexible in that they understood our budget and helped us identify where our money would be best spent while also presenting a variety of options and alternatives for pieces when our budget simply would not allow us to splurge.

Jolene and Courtney are very knowledgeable. They understand how to work with contractors and sub-contractors, and they also have a basic understanding of the remodel and inspection process from start to finish. This proved to be incredibly helpful, especially since, as first time homeowners, we had never been through a project of this size and didn’t know what to expect at every turn.

When we started this project, we did not have any general contractor or other sub-contractor contacts. Jolene is very well connected and was happy to suggest several contractors and sub-contractors she had worked with. She was incredibly transparent about the projects she had done with each and what her experience had been, so we never once felt like she was referring “friends” or had any agenda other than helping us choose who we wanted to work with.

Jolene and Courtney are incredibly responsive and always respond timely. They understand that sometimes a quick decision needs to be made (often on the spot) and they always reply accordingly – something I find to be rare!

I found Jolene through a recommendation on the Golden Gate Mother’s Group (GGMG). Initially I wanted help with only a couple of rooms and a small construction project to build a pantry off the kitchen. But as I worked with her and saw some of her suggestions/recommendations the projected quickly changed to helping with two cosmetic bathroom remodels, my living room, dining room, office, entry, powder room and four bedrooms.

Jolene was great at listening to what I wanted while helping push me beyond my comfort zone. I initially was hesitant on the wallpaper in the dinning room but now its one of my favorite rooms. She understood my lifestyle (children and a busy lifestyle) and helped me to select fabrics and materials that would endure. She understood that there were some pieces that I wanted to keep and was able to incorporate almost all of those pieces into my finished design. Now when I walk into my home I feel relaxed and happy. My kids love the changes she incorporated as well. Throughout the process hearing their feedback and comments gave me pure delight and reinforced my content with making these changes.

Jolene is extremely talented and very easy to work with. She has a great eye, and is very thorough to get you to know your tastes, to ensure she only suggests items you will be most interested in. She's very responsive, timely and punctual to meetings. I have used Jolene's services for two homes, and the rooms she designed are by far my favorite rooms in the houses. We are currently between phases with Jolene (as we did half of the new house this year and half next year), and when Jolene saw the perfect couch for us, she reached out and we ended up buying it, even though we aren't even currently working with her!
